Jump Start Bridge is an initiative of Atlanta Junior Bridge (AJB). Formed in 2006, Atlanta Junior Bridge was a local 501(c)3 created to teach the card game bridge to children under the age of 19 at no charge. After their creation of the Youth North American Bridge Championships in 2008, AJB expanded it's organization nationwide to assist other areas throughout the North America in forming clubs, training teachers and made a wide variety of curriculums and teaching aids available to others.
Jump Start's mission is to advise teachers of the benefits academically, socially and financially that bridge can offer to them and their students. Jump Start will provide (at no cost) online and/or face-to-face assistance and materials when teachers choose to offer classes or form clubs.
