Academy for Twice-Exceptionality

The Belin-Blank Center launched its Academy for Twice-Exceptionality for college students at the University of Iowa in Fall 2021. In this session, presenters share an overview of its development, support structures that comprise it, the application process, a summary of goals that both families and students cited, initial participant data, and plans for the future.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Academy of Twice-Exceptionality at the University of Iowa.
  • Describe literature review findings related to barriers to college success for 2e students.
  • Analyze the goal-setting experience for current 2e students in the Academy of Twice-Exceptionality.
