Fathers of gifted males play an important role in shaping their sons' lives. This session presents a research-backed parenting model and offers ways fathers can teach their sons life lessons and skills, instill a strong work ethic, nurture achievement, support them in decision-making, and guide them in developing their identities as gifted males.

Understand research studies examining paternal influence on gifted males
Describe specific ways in which fathers teach life lessons and skills, support achievement and independence, help their sons in decision-making, and guide them in developing their identities
Transfer components of the parenting model to support the intellectual and emotional development of their sons
