In this session, middle and high school teachers explore concepts and strategies addressing Twice-Exceptional (2e) learners’ needs. Teacher training focuses on agency to provide support for gifted learners' academic access and achievement. We also explore accommodations that consider the social-emotional supports students require to access learning with dignity and freedom from embarrassment.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to apply strategies to support student achievement by providing access without causing embarrassment.
Participants will be able to recognize when and how to apply learning strategies for learning disabilities with their gifted learners that support students’ needs and accommodations.
Participants will be able to describe ways to develop relationships to increase 2e students’ academic outcomes.
