If only raising gifted kids were as easy as everyone thinks! Parents of high-ability kids know that finding ways to coach their child to become an independent, confident, and successful young adult is harder than most people realize. This session focuses on helping parents find neurodiversity-affirming strategies to support their gifted sons and daughters. (Teachers welcome, too!)
Learning Objectives:
Understand the role parent-child relationships play in transforming potential into productivity
Have a framework for goal setting to help children and teens develop skills necessary for academic and social success
Experience a sense of universality along with other parents of gifted and Twice-Exceptional children, allowing them to feel connected (instead of isolated) in their parenting journey.
