Project Based Learning to Meet the Needs of Gifted Multilingual Learners

Project Based Learning (PBL) is highly engaging for gifted learners. It provides rigorous opportunities to apply learning across subjects to create authentic products. This familiar strategy can also support gifted multilingual learners. During this session we discuss how PBL aligns with best practices for multilingual learners and additional strategies that can be used to support gifted multilingual learners.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to define PBL.
  • Participants will be able to identify the elements of PBL that align with best practices for gifted multilingual learners.
  • Participants will be able to implement specific scaffolds and differentiation strategies to make PBL more accessible to multilingual learners.
