With the pandemic aftermath, war, and climate anxiety, today's gifted/Twice-Exceptional (2e) learners must deal with the stress, trauma, and grief of a world in crisis on top of their typical stresses. Those who care for and educate them are struggling, too. This session focuses on self-care, coping strategies, resilience, and community-building to help gifted/2e students . . . and their teachers.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will identify and understand the impact of stress on gifted/2e students and themselves.
Participants will be introduced to stress reduction strategies and mindfulness exercises for self-care.
Participants will be able to identify characteristics of resilient individuals and strategies to foster resilience.
