Where Do We Go from Here? Applying Technology Lessons from the Pandemic to Today’s Classrooms (Poster 70)

The COVID-19 pandemic forced schools to adjust and adapt their teaching practices overnight. Students and teachers learned new technology skills and navigated barriers in order to ensure that learning continued. Results are shared from a national study of gifted elementary teachers/students with a focus on lessons learned from the pandemic and tips for technology innovation in today’s classrooms.

Learning Objectives:

  • Summarize key lessons learned from elementary teachers and students across the country about technology practices used to support gifted learners during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Gather research-based computer and technology resources that can be applied to today’s classrooms to support gifted learners.
