This interactive workshop updates the results of one district's vision to eliminate barriers by teaching educators to change the face of gifted services and enlarge the talent pool to include more diverse students.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn to use local subgroup norming data to design a plan to increase the number of high-potential students from underrepresented groups of students in their own school districts.
Attendees will learn how one school district increased diversity in its gifted program.
Attendees will learn how to create new policies and procedures to ensure equity in and access to their own individual gifted programs.
