Twice-Exceptional (2e) students are the most underserved students in schools. With needs that span across siloed service providers, many students fall through the cracks. Consultation is a promising solution for integrating services. Because 2e students' needs require the expertise of multiple providers, relevant consultation models must be modified. This presentation reviews relevant models and provides methods for adaptation.
Learning Objectives:
Describe consultation models relevant to serving 2e needs.
Adapt current consultation models to integrate special and gifted education services.
Apply knowledge of consultation to create meaningful interventions for 2e students.
