This session outlines technology tools appropriate for gifted learners to help them apply, practice, and explore critical and creative thinking skills. Thinking skills addressed are divergent (creative), convergent, analytical, evaluative, and visual-spatial thinking. Tools are demonstrated and aligned to skills and standards, and participants receive a list of tools to use in their own classrooms.
Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate the use of technology tools (websites, apps, etc.) which allow students to apply critical and creative thinking skills in new and collaborative contexts.
Receive a collection of resources that teachers can immediately implement in their classrooms to help gifted learners apply thinking skills in new and collaborative contexts.
Understand the importance of teaching and applying creative and critical thinking skills in ways that reach beyond the walls of the classroom, connecting with gifted learners' needs for global thinking.
