Museums hold tremendous possibilities for exploration and discovery. How can a museum partnership with a gifted education program benefit gifted learners? In this session, we share about a pilot program called "Junior Curators" between gifted programs in two schools and a local museum. Participants receive a prototype for creating a similar program.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will explore the potential benefits of partnerships between museums and gifted education programs.
Attendees will receive a starter packet of gifted education and museum collaborative activities that they can customize to fit their programs.
Attendees will examine ways to foster creativity in the interpretation of museum specimens and artifacts.
