Gifted identification processes focus on research-based practices to ensure multiple pathways to identification. Pathways may include the methods, tools, and data collected as a body of evidence for use in identification. Attendees gain insight into the development of unique student learner profiles through a case-study model for increasing the identification of traditionally underrepresented gifted populations.

Learning Objectives:

Examine a case-study method as an approach to gifted identification
Engage with a variety of profile exemplars of historically underrepresented students toward potential gifted identification
Consider how to apply case-study method materials in individual local/state settings
