Twice-Exceptional (2e) students require a strength-based pedagogy in order to thrive at school. To incorporate this approach, education professionals must believe that when we focus on a child’s growth and well-being, rather than on their shortcomings, 2e students thrive. The aim of this presentation is to impart strategies education professionals may use to identify and support strengths at school.
Learning Objectives:
Understand why strength-based education approaches are best for 2e children.
Identify strengths in 2e children.
Apply strength-based approaches school-wide so that 2e children may thrive.
