Micro-schools are uniquely positioned to offer Twice-Exceptional (2e) students access to the equitable, pedagogically sound, and loving learning environment they deserve. This presentation aims to demystify micro-schools and inspire experienced educators passionate about serving gifted and 2e students to consider an alternative to the conventional school system.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define and describe micro-schools and how they operate.
  • Describe how micro-schools are uniquely positioned to solve equity issues related to education for gifted and 2e children.
  • Describe the research-based best practices for serving gifted and 2e students within micro-schools.
