Gifted and Talented Education Specialist Douglas County/Ben Franklin Academy, Colorado
Gifted artists often struggle to find support for their post-secondary goals. What if I want to go to art school or become a music producer? Is a traditional university my best option? Knowledgeable guides can be hard to find. In this session, participants explore these unique processes and access resources developed to support gifted artists.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will analyze and evaluate current practices and available resources to identify ways to improve support for gifted artists
Participants will collaborate to identify and grow their understanding of supporting the unique needs of gifted artists and how they differ from academically gifted students specific to post-secondary goals.
Participants will plan for application of new learning within their own practice
