Teaching gifted tweens and teens presents challenges, but there is help! A clinical psychologist with 20+ years of gifted-education experience offers information regarding gifted students ages 10-22, specifically targeting brain development, psychological and cognitive growth, and appropriate teaching strategies. With this information, educators can engender more productive teacher-student relationships and classroom environments to help these students flourish.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will increase their knowledge of brain development in gifted students ages 10 to 22, allowing for better understanding of students and their cognitive and psychological development and needs.
Attendees will develop better quality teacher-student relationships with gifted students ages 10-22 based on improved understanding of students' psychological development and identity formation.
Attendees will further develop teaching strategies specific to gifted students ages 10-22 to improve positive learning outcomes and decrease negative outcomes for students.
