College at 13? More Likely Than You Think: Exploring an Effective Acceleration Program

This session provides an in-depth look into Mary Baldwin University’s Program for the Exceptionally Gifted (PEG). Focusing on girls aged 13-16, PEG provides the opportunity to attend college early, live in a specialized dorm, and engage with campus community. Hear details of the admission process, live-in dorm with supports, and results from the Director and a student alum!

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will be able to discuss the research behind radical acceleration.
  • Attendees will be able to overview Mary Baldwin’s PEG Program and the supports incorporated.
  • Attendees will be able to share about the PEG program to others who have exceptional students who would benefit from the program.
