Gifted Education Facilitator
Douglas County School District, Colorado
I have been involved in education for over thirty four years. I started as a middle school science teacher and then moved into administration. I worked in Douglas County School District as a middle school assistant principal in Parker, Colorado for twenty one years. While serving as the AP, I added GT specialist and feeder lead for GT services to my AP duties. In the spring of 2020 I retired as an Assistant Principal and began my second career as a Gifted and Talented facilitator in a split between high school and middle school. Recently I have moved to splitting my time between highschool GT facilitator and online K-12 GT facilitator. Gifted education has always been a passion of mine. I am continually looking for ways to improve our transition of gifted learners from elementary to middle to high school. I focus my work each and every day with the goal that all students can learn.
