Luis Orione Ferreira is Doctorate candidate at the University of Connecticut in the Giftedness, Creativity, and Talent Development Program. He got a Master’s degree in Human Development and Health from the University of Brasília. Luis is currently a research assistant, working at the Bump Up Project for advanced elementary math learners and at Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Storrs CT, where he supports the development of mentoring programs for UConn’s undergraduate students. He is interested in the role of psychosocial supporting tools in demanding talent development contexts. His current research investigates the role of biofeedback methods on the promotion of stress and anxiety control with honors students, In 2020 he was awarded the Joseph Renzulli and Sally Reis Renzulli scholarship.
