Kristy Kowalske Doss is an assistant professor in Gifted, Creative, & Innovative Education at Western Carolina University. She instructs classes on social and emotional issues of gifted and creative children, methods and models in gifted education, techniques for differentiating instruction, and guidelines to assess local AIG plans in regard to diversity and twice-exceptionality. In addition, she facilitates the yearly summer field experience, Rocket to Creativity, where teachers learn about promoting creative and critical thinking through the use of Project and Problem-Based Learning.
