Lihong Xie is a doctoral candidate in the Giftedness, Creativity, and Talent Development program at the University of Connecticut. She is currently working as a teaching assistant for Introduction to Creativity. She studies how creativity can be used to enhance both socio-emotional and cognitive development in formal and informal learning environments. She is interested in applying multiple methods to specifically investigate how creativity can be used to produce socio-emotional (enhanced self-efficacy, mental well-being, coping skills) and cognitive (data-based skills, formulating problems, and finding solutions) benefits.
