Brenda C Matos is a doctoral student and graduate research assistant in Gifted and Talented Education at Purdue University. Brenda completed a master’s degree in Science Teaching and elaborated an eBook to support teachers on enrichment classes in science themes. She is also the secretary of the Brazilian Council for Giftedness (Directory board 2023-2024). Prior to becoming a doctoral student, Brenda worked with gifted and talented students in Brazil through enrichment clusters in special school. She is specialist in Special Education and taught undergraduate and graduate-level classes in Special Education. She coordinated the Summer Program for Talented students at Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (Brazil). Her research interests include summer programs for gifted students, twice-exceptional students, and underachievement in gifted youth.
