Lisa retired in the spring 2020 from the Boulder Valley School District after 31 years of teaching middle school i(most subjects, finishing with 8th grade social studies). She was also a middle school Gifted and Talented Teacher Leader for the district. Her CDE license is for elementary education with endorsements in secondary social studies and PreK-12 Gifted and Talented specialist. She received her Bachelors from University of California, Santa Barbara in Environmental Studies (aquatic biology & coaching), M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado, and Ed.D. in Gifted Education from the University of Denver. Lisa is passionate about the social emotional needs and effective instructional strategies and differentiation for GT learners through connecting content areas into authentic educational tasks.
