Ericka Dean is a DEI Practitioner, currently serving as the Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Community at Mirman School, a K-8 school for highly gifted children in Los Angeles. Ericka brings a combination of expertise related to organizational development, change management, communications, community building, policy development and implementation, and developing initiatives and programming that advance equity, inclusion, and belonging within diverse communities.
Before joining Mirman, Ericka led both non-profit organizations and higher education institutions, including Teachers College, Columbia University, and Stanford University, in centering their outreach efforts from the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
For the past decade, Ericka has also served as a disabilities advocate, most recently helping families with twice-exceptional children identify alternative pathways for education.
Away from her professional life, Ericka's favorite title is “Mommy,” and proudly enjoys spending her free time with her twice-exceptional son, and favorite student, Miles.
