Coordinator, Project ExCEL-Ignite

Kimberley Daly, PhD, currently serves as the Coordinator for Project ExCEL-Ignite (E-Ignite), a Jacob K. Javits-funded grant housed in George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development that seeks to identify culturally and economically diverse students for gifted programs through problem-based learning. Formerly, she served as the grant manager for Project ExCEL. Dr. Daly also works with George Mason's Teaching Culturally, Linguistically Diverse & Exceptional Learners Program teaching experienced International Baccalaureate teachers from around the world and working with pre-service elementary and ESOL teachers. She has 29 years of professional experience in educational settings and has taught in P12 and university classrooms in New Jersey, Virginia, and Ukraine. Dr. Daly's research focuses on problem-based learning, advanced academic programs, international-mindedness, and social justice/human rights education. She can be reached at kdaly1@gmu.edu.
