Heartland Area Education Agency, Iowa

Kate Boonstra is a Gifted and Talented Program Consultant with Heartland Area Education Agency, one of Iowa's nine intermediate educational service agencies. The support and professional learning Kate provides to schools are informed by her experiences as a parent of gifted and twice-exceptional children, family liaison for special education, and teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels.
Kate holds a B.A. in Music Education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Gifted Education, and has served on the Iowa Talented and Gifted board of directors and NAGC’s Parent Editorial Content & Advisory Board.
