Sarah Miller is the Associate Director of the Roeper Institute, a separately incorporated not-for-profit corporation affiliated with The Roeper School, which functions to advance the core values and ideals of the Roeper philosophy both within the school and to a larger community. Currently, the primary work of the Roeper Institute is to increase educational equity in SE Michigan by building capacity for public schools to identify and serve their own gifted and talented students. In that capacity, she serves as the project manager for the Matter of Equity 2.0 Javits grant, awarded in 2022 to support the Detroit Public Schools Community Districts in their efforts to identify and serve the gifted and talented students in their school district. She is also a Social Justice Educator and Facilitator. Sarah does curriculum development and presents on a range of topics with particular interest in service learning, white anti-racism ally work and connecting historic injustice to current oppression.
