Leigh Ann Fish, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Maine at Farmington where she also teaches graduate courses in gifted education. Leigh Ann has worked as a K-12 coordinator and teacher of gifted education, as a National Board Certified teacher in the primary grades, and is a Maine Master Naturalist. She is a seasoned advocate for young children and young gifted children and currently serves as board president for MaineAEYC. Her professional interests include gifted girls, Reggio-inspired practices, and nature-based education. When not working, Leigh Ann enjoys spending time with her precocious young daughters as they imagine, dream, and create on their 18th-century farm.
