Lisa DaVia Rubenstein is a professor at Ball State University, where she teaches courses on creativity and qualitative research methods. She completed her doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Gifted Education and Program Evaluation at the University of Connecticut. During her time there, she served as research assistant at the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented. Prior to her doctoral work, she was an elementary classroom teacher and a gifted program coordinator in Pennsylvania. She has authored several articles and book chapters examining the underachievement of gifted students as well as creativity in the classroom.
