Kristen N. Lamb, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the College of Education at the University of Alabama. She earned her doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in gifted education and creativity from the University of North Texas and previously served her community as a K-12 public educator. She studies equity issues in advanced academics, the role of creativity in talent development, and classroom conditions conducive to developing creative thinking and advanced academic achievement. Dr. Lamb is the co-author of Developing Creativity in the Classroom: Learning and Innovation for 21st-Century Schools and has published a number of articles and invited book chapters on the topics of creativity and gifted education. Her work in gifted education and creativity has received scholarly recognition, including the 2022 NAGC Early Scholar Award, 2019 Paper of the Year for Gifted Child Quarterly, 5th annual Paper of the Year for Journal for the Education of the Gifted, and the 1st Place Dissertation Award from the National Association for Gifted Children. She is currently an associate editor for the Journal for Education of the Gifted and serves on the executive board for the Alabama Association for Gifted Children.
