Maker Space Director, Computer Science Teacher
The Sage School, Massachusetts

Aimee Davies is a computer science teacher and Makerspace Director at The Sage School, an independent school for gifted learners located in Foxboro, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Education.
With a focus on grades 3 to 8, Aimee teaches computer science, aiming to develop students' computational thinking, coding, and problem-solving skills. Her teaching style emphasizes independent exploration and encourages a love for asking questions.

In her role as Makerspace Director, Aimee manages the school's Makerspace, providing students with a dedicated space for hands-on projects. She ensures students have access to various tools, materials, and resources to explore their creativity and collaborate with peers. Aimee's main goal is to help students build skills and confidence as independent makers. She aims to foster their autonomy and encourages them to embrace the iterative design process. Beyond technical skills, Aimee values character development and aims to instill confidence, resilience, and empathy in her students. She prepares them to make a positive impact on the world.
