Katie D. Lewis, Ed.D., is an associate professor at York College of Pennsylvania. She teaches undergraduate and graduate elementary education courses, and serves as program coordinator for Secondary Education, Post-Baccalaureate and Transfer students. Dr. Lewis is also the program supervisor for Effective Teaching and Educational Technology graduate programs. She has 5 years of experience teaching in public schools where she served as grade chair, lead science teacher, gifted cluster teacher and mentor to student teachers. She serves on the CEC-TAG board, is actively involved in the NAGC Professional Development Network as well as the Texas Association for Gifted. Her research interests include teacher preparation programs, motivation, and the underrepresentation of gifted English language learners.
