Immediate Past President & Regional Administrator, Advanced Learning
WAETAG (Washington Association of Educators of the Talented and Gifted) & Capital Region ESD 113, Washington
Jennifer Flo is passionate about ensuring all students have access to opportunities for learning through well-designed programs and services. An educator for over 25 years, Jennifer has worked in a variety of roles in public and private school settings. It was during her tenure as an enrichment teacher, where she began to really understand the unique needs of gifted and talented students. Recognizing a need to bring professional learning closer to home, she joined a cadre of trainers (a joint venture with WAETAG, OSPI, and Whitworth University) to bring professional learning across Washington state.
As an enrichment teacher, general education educator, district coordinator, and differentiation specialist, Jen was driven by her own need to learn. She pursued a second master’s degree, with a focus on Gifted Education through Whitworth University, where she focused on program evaluation. Jennifer serves on the Washington State Gifted Advisory Board, as immediate past president of The Washington Association of Educators of the Talented and Gifted (WAETAG), and board member on the Washington Coalition of Gifted Children (WCGC).
In her professional role, she is the Regional Administrator of Advanced Learning and Teacher Support at Capital Region ESD 113 where she leads multiple networks: supporting districts in their work for highly-capable students and early-career teacher induction. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Whitworth University.
