Crystal Engles (she/her/hers)

Gifted Teacher
Lake Cormorant Elementary School, Mississippi

Crystal Engles is a gifted teacher at a title school in a rural community and has never been afraid to step outside the norm to find real life experiences for her students. She loves to find activities to engage and excite them and take learning outside the classroom incorporating topics they are passionate about to inspire a passion for learning. She teaches them they have options, choices, and a voice to enable them to be successful. Mrs. Engles graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in accountancy and elementary education. She earned her master's degree in Gifted, Talented, & Creative Education from Arkansas State University and National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. She has taught for 17 years at Lake Cormorant Elementary in Desoto County, MS and is currently pursuing her specialist degree in educational leadership from ASU.
