Hulstrom K-8 School for Advanced Academic and Gifted Students, Colorado
Molly Gibney is the Assistant Principal at Hulstrom K-8: School for Gifted and Advanced Academics in the Adams 12 school district of Colorado. From 2019-2020, she served Hulstrom K-8 as their Gifted and Talented Coordinator. Prior to coming to Hulstrom K-8, Molly was the Gifted and Talented Teacher and GT Coordinator for 7 years at Mountain View Elementary in Broomfield, CO. She also served Mountain View Elementary for 15 years as their Digital Literacy Instructional Coach and School Librarian. Prior to moving to Colorado, Molly worked at Jefferson Elementary School in Jefferson, GA, and was honored to be selected as Teacher of the Year for the Jefferson City Schools District. Molly has a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Regis University and a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Molly is passionate about working with gifted students! In addition to her 11 years of professional experience working with gifted learners, she brings a personal understanding to her position as she is the parent of a gifted child. Molly also is passionate about makerspaces, having helped to establish the Genius Lab at Mountain View Elementary and the Design+Build+Create Studio at Hulstrom K-8. She believes that engaging students in hands-on work that is relevant and of high interest will empower students with a desire to learn and grow!
