Colleen E. Urlik, EdD

Hulstrom K-8 School for Advanced Academic and Gifted Students, Colorado

Dr. Colleen Urlik is the current Principal at Hulstrom K-8, Adams 12 Five Star School District’s advanced academic and gifted magnet program, and the Immediate Past President for the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented. She holds her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Gifted Education from the University of Denver, where she focused her passion areas of instructional best practices and leadership as well as educational equity, opportunity, and access in gifted education. Dr. Urlik has been in education for 19 years, in which time she has gained expertise in curriculum, instruction, instructional coaching, educational leadership, and gifted education. Also a mother to two gifted children, she loves nothing more than exploring and adventuring through the world with her husband, son, and daughter.
