Tara Toft is the Coordinator of Advanced Academic Studies for Sandusky City Schools and principal at the Regional Center for Arts and Academic Studies, which proudly serves students in grades 3-6 identified as gifted in all academic and arts domains. Previously, she served the district for fifteen years as a classroom teacher and teacher mentor. Tara is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching and later earned her Gifted License from Cleveland State University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Ashland University, with research interests in the areas of gifted education, quality instruction, and student motivation.
Tara lives in Huron with her husband, Robb. They have two grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and three grandsons. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing outdoors, and reading.
