Kessi McKenzie is a Gifted and Talented Coordinator/Instructor for Lawton Public Schools in Lawton, Oklahoma. She has been working in the gifted program for 29 years. During that time, she has held many different roles and responsibilities. She is currently assigned to four elementary schools where she provides enrichment classes to K-5th grade academically gifted students. She also tests and identifies new gifted students, facilitates gifted lessons in the regular classrooms, provides resources to classroom teachers and parents, conducts professional development training, and serves on the District Gifted Advisory Committee and the District Strategic Planning Committee. Kessi enjoys finding and creating challenging curriculum to share with her gifted students.
