Brenda is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and has been an Oklahoma educator for the past 40 years. She served as an elementary teacher for 18 years, a principal for 12 years, and a district level administrator for 10 years. She led Lawton Public Schools as the Executive Director of Elementary Education, Professional Development, and Gifted Education. She recently retired but was rehired part time to focus all of her attention on the Gifted Education Program. She enjoys collaborating with the team of Gifted Education Teachers to provide outstanding opportunities for over 1,600 gifted K-12 students.
