Fabio Andres (Andy) Parra Marinez holds a doctoral degree in Educational Studies from Purdue University. Andy conducted research and coordinated gifted programs at the Gifted Education Research and Resource Institute, GERI. Currently, Andy is the Schmidt Futures Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Education Reform at the University of Arkansas. His postdoctoral work focuses on global and multidisciplinary talent identification and development, as well as achievement motivation in secondary education students. Andy is passionate about justice, data analytics, student and teacher motivation, teacher education, wisdom development, gifted education, and educational policy. His work has been recognized with the Carolyn Callahan Graduate Student Award and the Mensa Fellowship in Gifted Education.
