April Walker completed her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas in 2020. She is an adjunct instructor with Grand Canyon University and primarily teaches courses focused curriculum, instruction, and assessment for teachers in the Humanities. April taught for thirteen years in grades 4-8. Her research interests include critical thinking, disciplinary literacy, and advanced readers.
