Mr. Gabriel (Gabe) Klemm is the Director of Admissions and Advising at the Gary K. Herberger Young Scholars Academy, a private school catering to identified gifted students in grades 7-12, at Arizona State University. In this role he oversees all aspects of admissions, and academic/college advising. In addition, he also serves as the safety and security officer, assists with management of athletics, and teaches Advanced-Level Biology and Physics. Gabe holds a Master's of Education in Higher Education Administration, and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in Science and Religion and focal coursework in Education (including Special Education), both from Arizona State University. He holds Associates Degrees from the Community College of the Air Force and Axia College, and an Arizona high school teaching certificate in science. Gabe is a multi-faceted leader with 23 years of military service and experience. Gabe has deployed to the Middle East three times and served an 18-month unaccompanied short tour to Guantanamo Bay Cuba during his military career. He retired from the US Air Force Reserves in December of 2019. Gabe is a busy father of four, and enjoys all manner of outdoor activities and sports, both playing and coaching.
