Tierra Parsons is a doctoral candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction, Urban Education program at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Parsons’ scholarship is focused on creating equitable spaces in education for girls of color. Her research interests include the affirmation, wellness and success of Black girls in urban schools. Earning degrees in psychology and social work, her collective experiences include over 17 years of service in human services and higher education.
