Elementary STEM Facilitator

Colby Newton has a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Reading, an endorsement in Talented & Gifted Education, and a MA in Curriculum Design & Instruction with an emphasis in Arts Integration. During his tenure, he has worked as a gifted and talented education specialist, a technology facilitator, and a science instructor. Currently, he works as a STEM facilitator for an elementary school in Wyoming, where he creates enrichment opportunities for high-ability and gifted students. Newton himself was designated as gifted as a child, and went through a gifted and talented education program in elementary school. He is passionate about advocating for this population of students, and is always looking for ways to help other educators become more equipped to meet the needs of these students. Besides education, Newton is also interested in creative writing, wildlife biology, and enjoying Wyoming's great outdoors.
