Gifted Young Scholars Academy 6th Grade History Teacher
Henrico County Public Schools, Virginia

Tara Brown has been teaching for 15 years. During the 2018-2019 she helped open the Gifted Young Scholars Academy (GYSA) at Wilder Middle School in Henrico, VA, and she has taught 6th grade history there ever since. In 2020 she became an NBCT in exceptional needs with a focus on gifted education. She earned a BA in history from UVA and an MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction from The College of William and Mary.
