Great Rivers Education Service Cooperative, Arkansas

Sara Hays is the Gifted & Talented Specialist and Educator Effectiveness Coordinator for the Great Rivers Education Service Cooperative located in the heart of the Arkansas Delta. She received her MSE in Special Education–Gifted, Talented, and Creative and her Ed.S in Administration from Arkansas State University. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher. Her work includes student enrichment, school/community outreach, and teacher professional development for the Great Rivers regional area. She has been in the field of education for 23 years teaching visual art and gifted education. Her interests include how to best identify and serve the artistically gifted, the use of makerspace for differentiation, and equitable identification of underserved students.
