Meg E. Hines (she/her/hers)

Dr. Meg Easom Hines is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Georgia. She co-directs the GCE University-School Partnerships for Achievement, Rigor, and Creativity (Project U-SPARC) initiative. Before her position at UGA, Dr. Hines was an elementary educator and an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. Dr. Hines consults with teachers, administrators and policy makers in local schools and districts on creativity, talent development, curriculum design and innovative programming. Her research interests include programming that uses creativity and how creative problem solving and critical thinking meet the needs of students from underrepresented backgrounds. Dr. Hines is a recipient of the National Association for Gifted Children’s (NAGC) Doctoral Student Award and the Mary M. Frasier Excellence and Equity Award by the Georgia Association for Gifted Children. Currently, Dr. Hines serves as a member of NAGC’s Special Populations network, co-authors the THP column Taking the Creative Leap Beyond and is a member of the editorial review panel for Teaching for High Potential.
