Cristy Thornton

Director, Learning and Development
Riverside Insights, Texas

Cristy Thornton is the Director of the Learning and Development team for CogAT®. She has over 18 years of experience with Riverside Insights assessments including the Cognitive Abilities Test™ and the Woodcock Johnson IV™. Ms. Thornton works closely with district leaders and gifted departments to understand assessment results and discover the islands of excellence in every child. Prior to joining Riverside, Ms. Thornton worked for several years in K-8 education as a classroom teacher as well as a campus and district administrator for curriculum and instruction.
