Juan Lascano, MED

Strategic Operations Director
Profound Gentleman

Juan Lascano was born in Suffolk, VA. He graduated from Norfolk State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended The Johns Hopkins University, where he received his Masters of Science in Secondary Education and a Graduate Certification for School Supervision and Leadership. Juan gained over six years of experience as a high school administrator and HS Science Educator. Following his impact in schools, Juan served as an education consultant for The Root Collaborative and the Program Director for The Behailu Academy, a free after-school arts-based youth development program for 6th-8th-grade students where participants develop both artistic and social-emotional skills. Mr. Lascano also served as an Impact Leader for Profound Gentleman for six years, where he mentored and developed over 25 male educators of color. Juan currently serves as the Strategic Operations Partner for Profound Gentlemen, where he creates philanthropic, corporate, and community partnerships that align with the strategic plan for the organization.

Additionally, Juan is responsible for diversifying a sustainable funding base to maintain and eventually increase the organization's current budget. In his free time, Juan plays tennis & creates music using vinyl records and his MPC beat machine. He has over four albums available on all digital streaming platforms. He uses this as the motivation to show students that you can live out your passions and your professional goals through hard work and dedication.
